STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
Optimum Sports Performance believes that the number one goal of any great strength and conditioning program is injury prevention. Each training program begins with a comprehensive movement assessment to evaluate the quality of movement the individual produces, and to investigate any potential limiting factors which may be holding them back from better performance or may potentially develop into an injury. Optimum Sports Performance Strength and Conditioning programs are designed to:
- Develop core strength and stability, which will help to enhance posture and prevent injury.
- Teach the individuals basic functional movements and exercises to help them increase their ability to produce safe and efficient movement.
- Enhance strength, power and endurance to build a strong foundational base of fitness to enhance performance and prevent injury.
- Promote flexibility and mobility in order to allow for optimal movement around joints.

CLINICAL/TREATMENT-BASED MASSAGE
Chronic overuse, poor posture, and compensatory movement patterns all lead to soft tissue pain. Unfortunately, in sports and in life, this soft tissue pain becomes a nagging annoyance and one of those things that we commonly refer to as "my bad shoulder that just hurts when I reach over my head" or "my knee that bothers me when I run past 3 miles."
Optimum Sports Performance clinical/treatment based massage focuses on dealing with pain and dysfunction. It is great for sports injuries, nagging pains and aches that have been bothering you for years, joint pain and/or chronic tightness or tension.
Unlike other approaches which just focus on the site of the symptom, we take a total body approach and attempt to determine that actual cause of the problem. In doing so not only is our goal to help decrease pain but to also improve posture and function and re-integrate you back into your sport or daily activity.
Our treatment massage is goal oriented and focuses on:
- Structural evaluation/assessment
- Movement evaluation/assessment
- Specific Soft Tissue Treatment
- Assistance with a self care plan of action so that you can become independent and assist in the healing process. This may include - learning how to perform your own soft tissue treatment, a specific flexibility and mobility program, and corrective exercises to help re-teach movement patterns and get you back in the game.

MAINTENANCE MASSAGE
Training hard and competing both come at the price of feeling sore, tense, tight and run down. Maintenance massage is a great way to relax the body, decrease soft tissue restrictions and muscular tightness and enhance mood and well-being.
Our maintenance massage begins with a postural assessment to determine if particular areas of the body are holding greater tension or tightness. The massage typically focuses on working the full body, but can be focused to certain areas should the athlete need more specific work.
The goals of our maintenance massage is to help the athlete relax, decrease tissue tension and tightness, improve mobility and, enhance posture. Because the maintenance massage is not as clinical in nature, there are several options the athlete can choose from ranging from 30min to 90min. If needed, the therapist will also help instruct you on self care protocols such as self soft tissue techniques, stretches or mobility exercises in order to create a lasting effect for the soft tissue work you received and help improve posture and alignment.

Here's what some of our athletes say about their Optimum Sports Performance Training...
“... I can say without a doubt this has been my best season. At the start of the season I could immediately see a difference. I was better conditioned than all of my teammates, I had greater strength and endurance, and was just overall way more prepared than anyone on the team. There are two more games left this season and I have been injury free and have dominated opponents with huge size advantages. With proper training I have gained injury prevention, strength, speed, and agility by far I’m at the best I have ever been thanks to Patrick....”
